With the government shutdown, many telehealth visits are not currently covered by Medicare. We are contacting impacted patients to help you avoid any unexpected charges. In many cases, telehealth appointments can be changed to an in-person visit. Please contact your clinic if you have questions or want to change or reschedule an appointment.
Healthcare is on the ballot this November. Learn about Hospital Prop 1.
Endoscopy is a procedure that enables your doctor to see inside your body. It uses an instrument called an endoscope, or scope for short. Scopes have a tiny camera attached to a long, thin tube. The doctor moves it through a body passageway or opening to see inside an organ. Sometimes scopes are used for surgery, such as for removing polyps from the colon.
If your procedure is at the hospital, please check in at the Special Procedure Care Unit (SPCU) on the second floor of the main hospital. Park in South Tower Garage, floor P-2. Parking is free.
If your procedure is at the Endoscopy Center (across the street from the hospital at 17820 Talbot Road S.) please park in the adjacent lot. Parking is free.
Please print or bring a digital copy of this Procedure Check-in Flyer with Campus Maps with you on the day of your procedure. The flyer includes parking instructions.
Valley's Endoscopy program is recognized by the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy's Quality Endoscopy Unit Recognition Program (ASGE EURP). The only national program of its kind, the ASGE EURP honors endoscopy units that show a commitment to patient safety and quality as reflected in their unit policies, credentialing, staff training and competency assessment, and quality improvement activities.
